Dr. Goyal received her medical degree from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Rajiv Gandhi Health Sciences University in Bangalore, India, where she graduated with honors. She then completed a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of Tennessee School of Medicine in Memphis, a fellowship in surgical pathology (with specialization in breast pathology) at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York, and finally, a fellowship in bone and soft tissue pathology at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle.
Dr. Goyal has been a practicing pathologist since 2011, and joined Pacific Pathology Partners in 2015. She has the distinction of being one of the few pathologists in the Northwest with special training in bone and soft tissue pathology. In addition, she has extensive experience in gastrointestinal pathology. Dr. Goyal has a passion for teaching, and has shared her professional expertise in a variety of venues.
